CULTURAL CITY TOUR
Description The historic centre of Mindelo is the eye-catcher on the island, but the true Cape Verdean spirit is found in the local neighbourhoods. Discover how the locals really live from close by, take pictures of the local street arts and get in touch with the locals. Visit areas like Monte Sossego and the musical Ribeira Bote, the home of the Mandinga’s on Sao Vicente with lots of activities during Carnaval.

CACHUPA WORKSHOP
Description The best Cachupa is homemade on a wooden stove by a Cape Verdean family. Cachupa is a fundamental part of Cape Verdean culture and is eaten fried for breakfast with eggs or as a soup for lunch and dinner. The base of the fresh stew has corn, beans, pork meat and other veggies like sweet potato, carrots and kale. A must-try while visiting the islands! The beginning of the Cachupa journey starts with the ingredients. A great way to learn about the culture and new foods is by visiting the colourful vegetable markets in Mindelo centre. Walk to Otilia's restaurant in the local area Monte Sossego to prepare the ingredients and start cooking. Make another small tour in the Mandinga neighbourhood Ribeira Bote while the cachupa is on the stove. Come back to enjoy a tasty, homemade lunch!

KIZOMBA DANCE CLASS
Description Take your first Kizomba steps in a private 1,5 hour session with a local teacher and feel the sensual dance moves. Kizomba is originating from Angola and has influenced the music culture in Cape verde. The Cape Verdean Kizomba or Zouk is often danced in the many music bars and discos. Did you know that music and dance are very important elements in Cape Verdean culture? Most locals dance, sing or play a musical instrument. The country is said to have produced one of the most artists on a global scale

SNORKLING WITH TURTLES
Description Snorkeling with sea turtles in the ocean truly is a magical experience. Use this rare occasion to explore the clear waters together with these historical sea creatures. Sao Vicente is the only island in Cape Verde where you can swim and snorkel with turtles in their natural habitat. With a local fishermen's boat you’ll leave Sao Pedro beach behind. After a short boat ride you’ll see the turtles approaching. Take a minute to admire them, put on some flippers, goggles and jump in. This is your chance to come eye to eye with the turtles and snorkel around them!

SNORKELING AT LAGINHA 'ENSEADA DE CORAL'
Description Snorkeling at Laginha Coral Cove. This experience is an introduction to the aquatic world, where you will have the opportunity to learn basic snorkeling techniques. A relaxed class in which you will enjoy the beautiful “Enseada de Coral” of Laginha accompanied by photos and videos so that it will always stay in your memory. This trial lesson is a step to delving deeper into other techniques like scuba diving or snorkeling, providing a clear insight into beach regulations, the marine environment and basic diving safety rules.
